One thing I can say about Bush, is he keeps us well supplied with some of the silliest quotes and mutilations of the English language ever. I have come to start collecting my favorite ones and thought why not we all share a few, you know you got them.
Mine -
"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country." —Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sept. 6, 2004
That one acutally aired on the news, LOL!
What is your favorite Bushism?

Oh, Sunshine, I didn't hear that one, but I can see him with either his single blue or red "power ties" on, standing on his little built up platform, looking down at the audience, and smiling that wierdo perv smile of his while uttering this. Thanks for the giggle ~Donna

Some of my favourites:
I think that the vice president is a person reflecting a half-glass-full mentality.
Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir.I talk to families who die.
The only way we can win is to leave before the job is done.
You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror.
We shouldn't fear a world that is more interacted.
I think ---tide turning --- see, as I remember --- I was raised in the desert, but tides kind of --- it's easy to see a tide turn --- did I say those words?

OMG! When I heard the "half-glass-full" on TV the other day, it took me running into the other room and calling my mother to get it straight in my head once again. It was has if Bush completely rewired my memory of this phrase when he said that! His mutilation of sayings, can be harmful to the general public as times, LOL!

There are so many! But this is always the first one that comes to my mind:
"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."
As if fish have ever posed any threat to the existence of human beings. Yours is one of my other favorites.
He's such a moron.
One more before I go because I can't stop at just one:
"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?"

Bush is a joker. Either he had some learning problems or he is plain stupid. The way he makes his statement I get the impression that he is starting a sentence for one thing finds it difficult to finish it so he ends up trying to use all the words he know to finish it.

LOL, yes! It reminds me of the middle schooler trying to hang out with the older kids so he uses big words to sound smart, but he hasn't a clue as to what he is saying! :-)

Ohh myyy Bush is a laugh isn't he ... I do wonder sometimes whether he realises he's gaffed ... or whether someone secretly writes his speeches with difficult to say sentences in the hope he will muddle things up ...
I loved this one .. it was shown on our TV (I had to go and search for it to get the right words of course .. so this is copied and pasted !) ..
"Because the — all which is on the table begins to address the big cost drivers. For example, how benefits are calculate, for example, is on the table; whether or not benefits rise based upon wage increases or price increases. There's a series of parts of the formula that are being considered. And when you couple that, those different cost drivers, affecting those — changing those with personal accounts, the idea is to get what has been promised more likely to be — or closer delivered to what has been promised. Does that make any sense to you? It's kind of muddled." --explaining his plan to save Social Security, Tampa, Fla., Feb. 4, 2005
Hahahah ... did he actually get round to explaining anything at all .. I know our TV news readers couldn't keep a straight face ..

I remember this being shown on our TV and I could feel my toes curling as his speech went on. People in the audiance were even laughing.
"Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign.
I mean, you're a - .... you've been given sovereignity, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity.
And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities"

I have a 'Bushisms' poster up in the lounge lol! Some are absolute classics!!! I also adore the 'humans and fish' one someone mentioned earlier.
some of my other favourites are:
- 'We have a firm committment to Nato - we are a part of Nato. We have a firm commitment to Europe - we are a part of Europe.'
- ' Welcome to Mrs. Bush, and my fellow astronauts.'
- 'It isn't pollution that's harming the environment ' it's the impurities in our air and water that's doing it.'
- 'I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family'
- 'But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century.'
-'A West Texas girl, just like me'
- 'It's time for the human race to enter the solar system'
So, basically, he's a European American president, but not living in this solar system or this century. He is however a West Texas girl. And he moonlights as an astronaut!!!

I have to admit that he is pretty good for entertainment value, there's no doubt about that, lol! I can't believe that quote that you shared. And he said it here in the very state where I live - Missouri! LOL. I can see why it made the news. It's pretty crazy some of the things that come out of his mouth, lol! I wish I could remember some to share, but he sure is entertaining.

he is one funny guy you can actually buy a book that has all his stupid speches at Barnes and nobel or any book store. it is 250 pages long. One of my favorite of all time is when he wasa governor of TEXAS b4 he run for president. He said "Most of the the products that are imported to Texas even to the United States of America comes from countries outside of the US." this guy is somthing else. I always follow up on this things that presidents or big leaders say and by far Bush has said all the damn things in a very short time and he is leading.

Not techinically a Bushism, but I remember after 9/11 he referred to the terrorists as "folks"; as in "we need to capture the folks that were responsible for this" (not an exact quote, but you get the idea). The term "folks" really bugged me, because to me the word folks decribes ordinary people, regular hometown Joe's like you and me-- not terrorists!

I agree. I also remember at the end of the same year 9/11 happened, Bush was asked how did his year go like in December and his answer was like, "Me and the wife and a wonderful year". I was in shock it was like what the heck? So Bush using the word like "folks" just supports my idea, 9/11 just was not really explained clearly enough to him.

President Bush is a great leader and worthy of respect. As long as the Democrats continue to put people like Barney Frank in office, the idea that they would put down President Bush is an absolute joke in itself. Barney Frank sounds just like Elmer Fudd, especially when he gets mad and starts swinging his gavel.
