I got the music in me

When you decide a song is a favourite...on what do you base your decision...the music, lyrics, the artists appearance, their voice or the video clip? Perhaps a combination of some or all of these?
Voices intrigue me and I'm likely to like a song more if I can understand the lyrics which is often not the case.
Obviously with classical it's purely the music. My favourite piece of music is Claire de lune...the lilting sounds of the piano soothe my soul. How about you?

yes I really agree with you on the music and being able to understan the words, music to me should create happiness ,good feelings, and reatful peace, not stressfull feelings..Claire de lune is one of my favorite also.

I am a huge fan of hard rock and metal music, so it is a wide variety of vocals and lyrics. When I hear a song that has awesome guitar solos mixed with headbanging rythms and smooth vocals, I usually like it. I also like songs that have a whole mix of sounds in them but still sound smooth. My favorite is a sound called Trollhammeran by a band Finntroll. It is a great song.
