why so many nasty gory dirty movies

Why do you think Movie companies feels it is necessary to cram so much blood and gore and nudity into movies? I mean if you look at the top movies when a "famliy friendly" film comes out that mocie is generally at the top of the list. If most people are like us we go to the movies together and I really hate having to wait weeks to see something the whole family can enjoy without seeing a naked butt or someone get their head cut off or eye gouged out. Am I the only one out there that feels this way

Yes I know even on Television there are so many what I call dark shows, fighting, killing, and always filmed dark, and they all have such negaticity and hi-tech, one of my favourtite shows when I was a kid was Superman with Steve Reeves in it such a positive message sort of show the new Superman is horrible, I hate what they have done with that....it is a dark and stressful show.
