Slight correction ... mylot and yahoo are NOT connected. They simply have a search capability for yahoo, earning them money with each search, since they bring more users to yahoo's services. They are in no way connected to or affiliated with Yahoo.
So signing out of yahoo will have no effect on your mylot account.

Left side of the screen, green print, the bottom choise is "sign out". Hope this helps!

The sign out is the last one in green in the second area under your name and avator and above your mylot earnings.
