Are you happy with Bush as President?

Australia

I'm from Australia and it seems a lot of people here are anti-Bush. Though I've noticed that Americans generally are all very supportive of him. Who thinks he's doing a good job as ruler of the US? Who isn't impressed?

Actually, Bush's approval ratings are extremely low. The majority of Americans do NOT support him, and I'm one of the majority. I cringed when he was first elected back in 2000 and I cringed even harder when I voted for John Kerry back in 2004 only to see Bush "win" again. He's driven our military into the toilet, public welfare is suffering, and people are finally realizing just how badly he's messed up our country. My biggest problem with our president is that he lets his religion seep into his politics, which is insane. Separation of church and state may not be written explicitly in the U.S. Constitution, but that's how judges have interpreted part of the 1st amendment. If we can't have prayer in schools, we shouldn't have a president who lets God tell him what to do (supposedly).

I am not a US citizen, therefore I would not know exactly is Bush a good president for US citizen or not. But as a foreigner, I dont think he is a good president at all. He is abusing his power to get what he wants. I dont think he could bring prosperity to the whole world unless the whole world willing to fully obey him.

Um .. hate to correct you, but americans in general are anything BUT supportive of Bush. He still has some supporters, granted, but you'll find the majority of the states are far from impressed and anything but supportive. Then you have the activists, which are now growing in numbers that exceed understanding, that are trying their damnest to get him impeached before having to put up with his mistakes for a few more years. I'm Canadian. I can't stand the guy. He's a wreck and an accident waiting to happen. Nyx that .. he's an accident that DID happen, and a joke with a crappy punchline. He passes laws based on his moral code and his religion, yet he has no moral qualms about breaking the law himself when he deems it necessary. (ie illegal wire taps) Based on past acts, he should have legally been removed from office ages ago. Yet he stays, and wreaks more havok.

I can't believe that he got in once let alone a second time, but then at least one of the elections was rigged. Its odd that a country with a massive population that refuse to believe in evolution actually voted in a monkey as president.

You can look at any poll you want--no one is showing him with approval ratings of much higher than 35%, and many are saying lower. That means at the very best, 65% of Americans disapprove. Here is a graph: http://www.hist.umn.edu/~ruggles/Approval.htm
