Kobe is good, but Michael was the best. Michael was consistent. Kobe is not always on his game. To me, Kobe is a showman. Michael was a competitor. He wanted the win more than Kobe. You could put your money on Michael and he would bring home the gold. Maybe Kobe will get there in time, but not yet.

yahh..i defeinitely think that kobe is a showman.. i also thought that he was just copying the act of jordan for him to be good but i think no one can be as good as jordan...

Jordan was the better dunker, no question. The Cradle tomahawk, the symbol of the Jumpman.... he wasn't as flashy as Kobe or some of the other contemporary players of this day when it comes to dunks, but Jordan still was the better of the two.
Although either of them could hold a candle to guys like Vince Carter, Julius Erving, Dominique Wilkins, etc. Forget about it...

I personally prefer michael jordan as the best dunker ever :) then kobe inherit the skill. I really admire michael and even my school team always talk about it when we come to practices. His skill and talent inspires our team :)

Just a dunker?
Does 6 NBA Championships, 6 NBA Finals MVP, and a career 33 point per game playoff average... just a dunker? Jordan was the purest scorer of his time; he was an All-NBA first team defender as well, or maybe you forgot that little tidbit? Jordan raised the play of the players around him... in case you missed game 2 against the Suns tonight, and the second half of game 1, Kobe didn't even step up himself. You think Jordan would have gone down in those games without a fight?
Jordan did EVERYTHING... Kobe is a great player, probably one of the best of his time, but there is NO QUESTION that Jordan was better at everything except pure scoring, and Jordan made up for that with his dominance in other categories.

there's no way that jordan is just a dunker. he's a leader and he's best at almost everything. being just a dunker can't bring 6 titles, 5 mvps and a lot of other achievements. kobe and jordan are players who give in their 100% every night. but what made them different is that jordan's got the heart and the passion to win. kobe is merely for a show and individual stats

Come now, that's too much pressure on Kobe. He's a special player, but MJ is a legend, the legend. Before MJ had jumpshots he was dunking on everybody. Kobe is a strong finisher at the rim, but doesn't have anthing near the assortment of MJ's crazy dunks. It's not even close!!

i'd pick kobe bryant in this one, especially the one he did after doing a crossover against the hawks. the dunk over the phoenix suns during the 2006 playoffs was sick too. jordan is more graceful and versatile player than bryant, but i think kobe is the better dunker. maybe we could bring vince carter in
