Giving

Apostle Paul said: "I desired nothing of silver or gold or clothing; you yourselves know that these hands helped to the needs of me and the men who are with me. I showed to you all things that thus toiling it is necessary to support the ones who are weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus that He Himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'" (Acts 20:33-35). Giving is one of the 5 forms of worshipping God - praying, singing, reading the Holy Bible, taking the Lord's Supper, and giving. We cannot give any material thing to God because He owns everything, He needs nothing from us except our worship. As we cannot give any material thing to God, we serve Him through helping other people as said by apostle Paul that it is necessary to help the weak and unable. Also, true religion is visiting the widows and the orphans in the tribulation of them (James 1:27). There are many other Bible verses where God commands us to help and give. However, giving should be from the heart as God loves the cheerful giver. God does not like us to give just the extras or excess; we should beforehand allot what we want to give. God does not also require us to give what we don't have. God praised the old widow who gave just 2 leptons. These are some reasons why people give. For me, I give not only material things I have but I give myself for the service of God.

It is better to give than to receive. I am so poor yet I give whatever I can afford. I feel such a different way if I could share whatever I have to others. I have experienced difficulties and God did his numerous ways to help me and I know that God works thru other people that if I could give even just a one way fare to someone's destination if I'm approached and could not help at all, I do give so that where that one is going, he or she might be helped. Giving should be of course from the heart, no showing off, no plastic, it must be pure.

As it is said: It is better to give than to receive. Those who have much money give to foundations, charitable institutions, etc. I give to our congregation when I have money.

Giving and sharing our blessings to others is one way that we show our love to our mankind. When we give to other , it symbolized that because we love people ,,, Yes we LOVE GOD....

why? well i can tell you this and tell you why.. i have a internet radio station which is www.crossfire-radio.com we are non profit yet it cost us alot of money just to be up and running. we let people listen for free, we do alot of things for free like put on unsigned music artist to be heard around the world.. we just do alot to help out people like the sunday show troops shout outs.. we ask for donations because we need help with the bills to keep it running and legal for everyone to enjoy. giving to something you enjoy to keep it running don't you think that is a good thing?
