Years ago, before the Native American reservation became a gambling casino, there were beautiful waterfalls in between the reservation and the hills next to them. We would go up Marshall Avenue to the end, then there were orange groves with a very old house. The house even had a an old gas station tank outside. Rumor was that an old lady lived there, but I never did see anyone. We would eat the oranges, actually I think they were tangerines, then we would hike between the mountains. There were flat shoals, above that was an old mining tunnel. As we hiked back we would have to climb on the side of a rock wall to go across a deep pool of water (I was terrified of falling in!)Then the waterfalls would increase in size the farther in that we hiked. I looked on google earth and it looks as though every bit of it is gone. It SO sad! Anyone been there? Pictures?
