is it ever ok for your mate to cheat?

after being engaged to someone that i was with for 5 years, i must say that i have YET to get over the fact that he cheated on me. It never "just happens". i'm a firm believer that nothing is just coincidence.

I think that if you are dating someone and they admit to cheating you need to take a few days without talking to them so you can examine whether you are really interested in doing the work to heal the relationship and move on. It's hard to come back from that but not impossible so you need to make sure you are both very invested in the relationship and making it work. There are also places here that give premarital or relationship counseling which could help if you really want to move on. It's a really personal decision because one couple could come back from it where another one would crumble in seconds.
