how biased are we towards ourselves??

when we dont score well in exams....we often blame our teachers for that...but when our fellow brothers or sisters dont do well....we quickly point at them and give them suggestions to improve upon their weaknesses. y is that? we all are too biased in things that concern us....while our sense of right and wrong comes into being in matters concerning others. no doubt this is natural.....but only upto a certain limit. no doubt....blaming others for our mistakes has become a way to escape from our faults. what do u have to say?
