from the discussions on the board it seems as though it is a very popular sport in all other countries yet in the US it is practically unhears of the only reason i know what cricket is, is because i saw a video clip of bush getting hit by a ball in cricket can somebody please maybe explain why it isnt so popular over here

yeah...i can give u explaination...
Cricket is a very long ending game..it takes almost a day to finish a game and US ppl cant waste tht much time in watchin and playing game w/o profit....they olways want some fun with revenue...so..

May be it has not been played in a large manner.
If USA host the World cup Cricket then people may understand about the game and the rules.
India ,Pakistan and Bangladesh teams are playing in Canada to make this game popular among Americans.
Soccer and baseball are having more importance in the minds of americans rather than Cricket
