Do you know somebody who's into Satanism?

That would be me. Well, I am learning about other religions before choosing one. I don't know why people are so scared. I guess it has to do with the unknown. Satanic people don't believe in the devil, they don't kill animals and they don't kill people. They use Satan to represent their religion because they don't believe is right to live your life thinking that everything you do is a sin. Satanism is a very interesting philosophy.

your first question. Do you know somebody who's into Satanism? not right at this point in my life, but I've been friends with a few. basically I've met 3 Satanists in my life, which may not be a lot, but I liked them. decent people. fairly moral. down to Earth. sensible. from religious discussion with them, I learned a fair bit about what they beleive in, and while it's not for me, there's a lot of good in it. the worst it could be accused of is perhaps being a bit of a selfish philosophy. in that it does focus on the desires and needs of the self. however I didn't find the people themselves to be selfish in nature. they don't actually BELEIVE in Satan. Satan is symbolic of what mainstream religions have supressed over the years. basic human nature. and while some parts of human nature can be abused and used to harm others, Satanists don't beleive that murder, rape or theft are acceptable. because another part of human nature, probably much stronger, is to protect your own. so really, a Satanist is nothing like on TV. Satanism is a philosophy rather than a religion, worships no one, but holds your own nature and instinct in high esteem. Why did they end up being that way? they read about it, and the philosophical beleifs of Satanism closely matched how they felt about the world, and they decided that as a path, this one was the closest one for them. so. why are you scared of them? just curious?
