U cna keep the computer on for any amount of time. Just make sure, the room is properly ventilated and cooled.Idealy it dhould not damage anything. But somtimes the OS simply hangs, and u might need to restart. Otherwise its completely ok.

Yes. smrohitsm is right. Keep it well ventilated and it would be fine. But why do you have to do this? Everything in this world need rest. :-)

I probably hangs due to malware or adware, not the fact that it's left on. I'm an IT specialist and we leave our computers on for sometimes months at a time with no problems.
Download spybot search and destroy and Adaware by Lavasoft. Run those one at a time and your problems should be gone.

The computer will not hang just like that. PC's are designed for continous use for months and even years. There are so many reason why computer is behaving that way. Email me the exact problem you are experiencing with your pc and I will do my best to help you fix it. Dont worry it will be for free. just want to help. My email is larry04b@yahoo.com

Somebody from smartbro(internet provider) came here this afternoon and told me that the problem why it hangs is because of my PC memory. They said that i must add more so that the fast connection of the internet would match-up to my computer. Is it true that there are computer that doesnt need to have an airconditioned room?

I think nothing will happen if the are in which you are using your computer has a proper Exhuast system and the room is fully air-conditioned . But don't do this a lot I mean sleeping having the computer opened, because I think that Access of anything results in Loss

I have actually heard it is actually better for the computer if you leave it on instead of turning it on and off all the time. I usually leave mine on while at home but turn it off if I am away for a long period time, like on vacation. I usually leave my computer on but will turn the monitor off to preserve the life of the monitor while I am not using it.

No idon't think it will cause anything but whats the reason u are doing so and whats the point to keep it opened While you are sleeping. The surroundings have a little effect Like the airconditioned rooms and open air but "Please give it a sleep too."

Yeah! Nothing happens if you keep your computer on for 24hrs. You just need a better cooling system. Even a well ventilated room works just fine..

computer should be designed and made to be able to works 24 7 without any problem, in case the air flow is allright and all is as the manufatur asumption, if you want to turn your pc for a long period of time, the most critical point you should pay attention should be the air flow of your case, the air inside the case should be flow freely, you can add more fan to suck air in and suck air out of your case if its need, or the easiest way is open your case ^^! just like all my pc, but becarefull with dust.
