COM Ports problem?

Well recently I bought a data cable from eBay for my mobile. I installed it's drivers etc.. but every time I try to access the COM port it tells me that it it is begin used by another program. I tried everything, there is nothing using it in the CTRL-ALT-DEL, I tried changing the port, but for nothing!! Everything in vain. Can anyone help me please? thanks.

you can change the COM port thru the
mobile phone's program installed on
the computer (phone manager program) .
if you donot get it then give the mobile
make & model number ; program name and
its version ; and your operating system
details ... so that someone with the
same mobile can try to help you .
