Well, it's not like it's fat. So, I don't think it is all the same.

No, it's not healthy and trying to become pregnant when you're not healthy yourself is selfish. A child has only chance to have the best start possible in this world. If a parent truly cares about their child(ren), they'd do anything to give their child(ren) that best start.

That's not true. I am overweight but I am healthy....I do not have high blood pressure or anything else wrong with me. I just have slow metabolism so I can't burn off the fat as much. You can be overweight and be healthy. Don't call people selfish for that. As long as you watch what you eat when you're pregnant, it's prefectly ok.

Most doctors, of course, will tell women that there are more chances for health problems and pregnancy complications when they become pregnant and are already overweight or obese. Ideally, women should be counselled and should lose excess weight before becoming pregnant. But we do not live in an ideal world, and we all know that losing weight is a very difficult thing to do. Most women have normal pregnancies and deliver healthy babies even if they were overweight at the start of the pregnancy. In fact, many women actually lose weight throughout the beginning of the pregnancy because they change their eating habits to help the baby. The women who have the most complications, and for whom pregnancy is the most dangerous for both mother and child, are the obese and morbidly obese women.

Well i'm going to speak from personal experiance, which i normally do when i answer questions from anyone...I was overweight when i was pregnant with my daughter and i had a happy healthy pregnancy i didn't have any issues with anything till my last 2 weeks when my blood pressure spiked and gained 12lbs in one week...But my daughter is a happy and healthy 2 1/2 year old who is a skinny minny lol and i'm hoping she stays that way..So yes to me it is healthy to get pregnant when you are overweight, others might say otherwise but it really depends on you..Every pregnancy for skinny people to over weight people is all different...I had a stress free pregnancy being overweight and my hubby's neice had a trouble pregnancy and she was skinny..So really it's all on how much your body and the baby want to take :)
