I still have wave in my hair, my hair was only wavy to start with, but I still have 80% waves through it. The condition of my hair is pretty bad from product to, but I am using chi products and extra treatments to repair, I lost 1-2 inches in length to look o.k. I had the bio ionic done 3years ago and it was immaculate, it damages the bottom 2 inches but was straight, shiny, etc, for 12 mths until started growing out. I do not want to re do it as 4 hrs in salon drove me mad and I feel it will damage my hair, is there any miracle I can do to bring it straight, I um and aared about buying a straightening iron or doing this, so we did a sample on my hair and it worked ( this was done on quite a peice of damaged hair. I do have blonde and brown tints (not bleach put in my hair, but lady said this would not effect it............... I am so disappointed as I feel not only did I waste money, hair and time, I'm back to square 1 with not having hassle free hair... I would appreciate any suggestions. cheers Angela

How about just being happy with your god-given hair? You're really damaging your hair just so you can look like another Barbie doll... make use of what you have... not what you don't.

well, some hair types cannot be straightened, it's harsh, I know, but waves are nice... think about it :)

I've always had wavy hair and back when I was in high school super straight hair was in style. Trust me though, there is no way to get naturally wavy hair to stay straight no matter what you do. Let nature take over and let your waves stand out. Our hair is actually in style right now! Enjoy it!

I have really wavy hair and I have found that using a leave in conditioner helps with the frizz and when I blow dry it, I use the cool setting instead of the heat. My hairdresser told me that to much heat will dry it out and cause frizziness. Even when you use a hot iron, don't leave it in your hair very long.

I have naturally curly hair, straightening treatments never fully work on me, but I do use porcelin plated straightening irons and they are wonderful. Put a little oil on the tips of your hair so that it doesn't get completly fried and then use the iron on it. It keeps it healthy looking and straigh. I use a little baby oil on the tips but olive oil or coconut oil works well too. My haidresser told me that and I finally tried it, it works great!

I was a teenager with somewhat frizzy hair during the '60s when the straight-haired London Look was in. I tried everything. One technique back then that I used with questionable results was ironing my hair. It tended to cause static, and we didn't have non-static spray back then. I used the only home straightener kit on the market regularly even though it took me an entire Saturday morning. And I slept on enormous brush rollers every night to help achieve the look I wanted. Looking back on it, it was silly of me to worry so much about something that didn't really matter. However, I know what it's like for young people. I hope you have better success than I did!
