what do you think of the character vianne rocher and her daughter anouk?

at first i pitied both characters since they were the deviants of the society they entered. they brought so called temptations with them (chocolates)in Lasquenet-sous-tannes which made the conservatives shy away from them. but i saw their bravery and persistnece an inpiring thing coz they made people in that town step back to reality and forget so much religousness to become a real PERSON, an affectionate human. i adore anouk coz she's smart and even though she has pantoufle as her imaginary friend, she seems to get along with her mother and knows how to bend with society's hardships on her. I LOVE THE BOOK AND MOVIE. CHOCOLAT ROCKS!!!

I don't think that they were bad influences necessarily more so I think that they were influences that needed to happen in that town to stop it from being so up tight. Although I did feel sorry for the little girl because she had to move so much. Although I was happy when her mother [through divine intervention I believe] opted to stay in the town and continue making change there. I think that's what she attended to do weather she knew it or not.
