Just a thought, I used to work in a daycare. But they made like a photo album of the family and would show that to the kids when they would get ready to leave or cry for their parents during the day.

He is crying when you leave him there, and how many minutes does it take for him to stop crying after you are gone. I saw that many times when I was using day care, kids would cry when Mommy left and 5 minutes later were happy and smiling. If you have a good day care center, why dont you ask them how long until your child quiets down. You will find it is not long and you will be happy.

I first left my son at daycare when he was 15 months. Before that, he was never away from me. So, you can imagine how difficult it was for him to adjust. He is a big mommy's boy and only wants me. It broke my heart when I had to first put him there. The first time he was there, they told me he cried for almost 3 hours! Subsequent times the crying got less and less. Now, he doesn't cry anymore and is very happy to go to daycare. He knows he'll get to play with his friends and Mommy will be back for him later. Now, he just give me a hug and waves me goodbye. It took him awhile (2-3 months) but sooner or later, your baby will adjust and he will be just fine.
