I hate the things. Where I work, people bring in floppies all the time, so I can print the documents they have stored on the disk. Half the time, the floppies don't even work. People don't understand that the quality of floppies is nil.

well i have been using CDs since quite some time now, and whenever i have to carry a lot of data, i prefer to use DVDs instead... so floppys have become exticnt for me, infact in my friends computer, he got a branded one, there isnt a floppy drive installed in the first place. so there is no option for him to use it. i have a drive in my computer but i rarely use it!

I don't use floppies anymore. 1 floppy disk is the equivalent to 2 cd-r discs. For transferring data I use usb flash drives, they can store more data and can transfer them faster. They're also more rugged and less cumbersome to bring along.

Nowadays, floppy disk is not useful because they only can a little storage about 1.44mb. And flash drive is cheaper so it will be more worth to use flash drive than floppy disk as it can keep more data with bigger capacity. Now, i don't use floppy disk anymore, even i waste my floppy drive because it wasn't useful. I prefer using flash drive rather than using floppy disk because it can store more data.

Nobody uses floppy nowadays, more and more people are using usb flash drive and some even using external hard disk to get the extra space. Using RW cd is also an option for those who don't have a pen drive or external hard disk.

I used them before, but now I am thinking of making a pen stand with them. I have a lot of damaged Floppies.
But now, I prefer to take my required data via e-mail instead of Floppy.
In floppy we can store about 1.44 MB but through mail I can send about 8-20 MB at once. As I download them at home as required.
Even I get backup for me when I like.
So floppies are a bit obsolete.
Have a nice day.

Floppies are better suited for museum. It was a great medium in the past but no more. Also floppies are not as dependable as a cd or a dvd or a pendrive. But they have well earned their place in history.
It has a meager memory which is voltile. I have learned a lesson with a great cost trusting them.
So goodluck to them who are still using them but certainly a museum piece to me.
