What brand of computer are you using? HP, Compaq, Gateway, Dell, some other... did you build your system yourself and if so what is under the hood?
I am using a Compaq 3GhZ with 512MB RAM with WinXP Media (upgrading to Vista!) and a 15" flat screen MAG monitor.

1.8GhZ is fine for most computing. I would definately think about getting yourself some more RAM though, that will make a crappy computer a computer that is just a little outdated... which is not a bad thing unless you are upgrading to Vista... and who is doing that???

I'm using a brandless computer, I assemble it my self, so it uses various brand peripherrals. using amd64 3000+ am2, with 512 ddrII, with windows xp service pack 1, I still not trying to use vista at all, and I use a 17" monitor philips. until now still comfortable for me.

I have a crappy HP, which is much better than the crappy Gateway I had before that. I'm not going to buy another premade computer. I have a friend who is willing to build me one. Hopefully, I can save enough money to get it soon. My kids all have nicer computers than me. What's wrong with that picture? LOL
