does anyone use crock pot to cook meals?

My crockpot was my most dependable appliance when I was working full time. With 4 kids and their friends (at least one or more every night)I used my crockpot almost every day. I think it is one of the best and easiest ways to prepare a full meal. It is also a great way to tenderize tough cuts of beef. Pot roast with potatoes, carrots, onion and wedges of cabbage is one of my favorite, and homemade chili is always better when simmered in a crockpot. It makes your food taste like it did when our ancestors cooked over an open fire in big cauldrons.

I love it when I don't have time to stand over the stove. Because some nights I don't get home from school until 4:45, and then have to be back by 6, it helps alot to be able to just throw something in in the morning, and not worry about it til time to eat!
