i'm a huge fan of joey back in friends, and if there's one character in friends that could make it alone, its joey,
but unfortunatelly he didn't make it, probably because of their co-stars, they don't have a hot actress there unlike in friends there is jennifer aniston and courtney cox

if thr has to be one reason y joey didnt work out, it has to be the absence of his co-stars of friends. coz i thot the humour in da series was upto da mark n so was the characters...i loved da way micheal played da part... it was totally awesome n i dnt think tht da programme deserves this topic...

It took me a while to get into the characters but after that I was hooked. Yes it would be nice if some of Joey's old 'friends' popped in to say hello but apart from that it's watchable and sometimes even funny.

The show was not a failure in my opinion. It did develop the character of Joey fine! And I enjoyed all the episodes and scenarios. But I think that most Friends' fans wanted so much more and expected so much more. As a stand alone show, I thought that it was fine, but because Joey was such a major force in Friends already, it meant that we knew so much about him and left nowhere for real maneouverment of his character...
Whereas someone like Frasier Crane in Cheers was a lesser character, and therefore easy to spin off and give a fresh new approach to... That's the main difference in most Spin-offs... could've been worse... do you remember Melrose Place and how it started as a Beverly Hills 90210 spin off?? Not many remember that because the squashed the 90210 connections after it flopped from the start! haha.
So let's not be so harsh and judgemental on it ya?
