italy to tackle football violence

the prime minister romano prodi has promised heavy measure to fight football violence after a policeman was killed during clashes between fans in sicily,the authorities have cancelled all weekend matches as well as an international against romania,and will be taken a meeting of emergency for discuss this inceribly situation.the violence occurred at serie a derby game between catania and palermo. comment! do you think this could be possible? what are possible solution for prevent this kind of think?. must be abolishe really football?

Something has to be done or the future of Italian football is in jeopardy. It cannot continue and i first saw a horrific act of violence in the Milan derby where the AC milan goalkeeper, Dida was almost struck by an array of fireworks. It was shocking and horrifying with the game having to be called off. Luckily no one was seriously injured but violence should have been eradicated there and then and it should not have been allowed to come this far.

They has always been always football related violences in Italy. You should see the Rome derby to see this.I have seen even racist banners put up at some parts of the ground.The clubs are afraid to take action because of the financial implications. The Italian Football is already in financial crisis.I think this will add to it.
