i went to see the movie bcos of the name mani ratnam associated to it.........he is a gr888 film maker.....n his films whether they r commercially hit or not but those films are all critically well acclaimed........

I think the reason for the success for the Guru film is ONE Man Mani Rathnam with the music aid from A.R.Rehman! These two are the main reason for the success of the GURU film! Now, they are ruling the Indian cinema, in future they will rule the world cinema!

the answer to ur question cannot be given coz it is said tat u cant clap with one hand...it is the same here...if mani ratnam wud not have directed abhisheks gud work then the movie wud have been a flop n if abhishek wud not have acted well even then the movie wud have been a flop...so for me both of them have done a gr8 job

as for me... i liked the film coz of abhishek....
mani is great director... there were certain flaws in de film... but that is understandable coz.... he showed 30 yrs of gurubhi's life in just 21/2 hrs...
credit also goes to rahman for his outstanding movie
and finally mithun da.... he was so amazing

obviously mani ratnam...... yaa some credit goes to AB's acting also but ........ the creator is Maniratnam.
