Frustrated Before My Time

When you read every other discussion and response and find yourself shaking your head and extolling 'no, no, no, you spectacular morons!', it's time to take a break from Mylot.
I'm going out to lunch. I am going to have a sandwich and chips and maybe a pint of beer, and perhaps give myself the calm I need to tackle today's discussions. I wonder if my patience has grown more thin, or if the full moon truly has brought out all the nutters. I only know, if I keep this up, I'll soon be running off into the night screaming obscure Monty Python quotes.
Please assure me I'm not alone.

I don't think you're alone. I threw my keyboard earlier as a result of reading some pretty moronic posts.
I have seen a lot of ridiculous things today, but I'm not sure if it's any different from any other day. For me it might just be that I've actually had more time to be here than usual. Despite having more time, I think I've made fewer posts than usual for lack of discussions I actually want to respond to.
I hope you return feeling refreshed!

Hun, you're so not alone. I find my self thinking the same thing on a daily basis. Sometimes those discussions are like a tractor beam and I just can't pull myself away. I hate being sucked in like that because I know I'm going to say something I'll feel bad about later. I love dishing out my blunt opinions but I hate being mean. In fact I think I've run out of ways to politely say, "OMG you are such an idiot! Who gave your parents permission to breed?"

You are not alone!!! As much as I hate to admit it, one of the reasons why I'm still here is because I need the money for my trip to Phoenix next week. LOL Every penny helps, and they actually pay me for this! I find myself coming back to your discussions often, because you are so much deeper than many on here. You also speak fluent English. Nothing wrong with foreign languages, but if the language of MyLot was the language of India, for example, they'd complain about my grammer! ;-) They'd complain about my grammar in Denmark too, for that matter.
Your posts are a breath of fresh air, on MyLot. Please keep up the good work.

I think the full moon is effecting all of us. I've seen a lot more of those types of posts and want to scream as well. That's usually when I take a break of some sort. Of course it could be PMS with me but either way a break is called for :) Enjoy going out to lunch, wish I could join you at it.

Since this was posted 8 hours ago, how was lunch by the way? Hope you had a chance to take a deep breath.
The drivel has been rather incessant lately. Inane as well. Redundant comes to mind.
I would rather enjoy obscure Monty Python quotes such as "Is your wife a goer...eh? OR "where did you get the coconuts? Much more entertainment value than "u like fruit?" But here comes Monty Python to the resue again
My answer to "u like fruit" Yes I like bananas but they are dangerous...Then Monty Python takes over...................................................,
Bananas. How to defend yourself
against a man armed with a banana. Now you, come at me with this
banana. Catch! Now, it's quite simple to defend yourself against a man
armed with a banana. First of all you force him to drop the banana;
then, second, you eat the banana, thus disarming him. You have now
rendered him 'elpless.
Hope the rest of your day was better. You are not alone.

Even those with seemingly infinite patience eventually will have a moment of impatience or intolerance for stupidity when exposed to large doses over an amount of time. Don't worry about it. :)

I just tend to leave my IQ at the doorwhenever I enter social sites and forums, otherwise I´d end up wasting too much time debating over flaws in the arguments of others.

Nothing wrong with Monty Python quotes...
"And the lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
"Amen"
King Arthur- "Right. One... two... five."
Galahad- "Three, sir."
King Arthur- "Three."
I love the killer bunny.

i'm with you!
besides mylot, i found this past week to be exceptionally annoying in 'real life' too! i actually came to mylot hoping to find diversion from the morons i'd been dealing with in person, and came here only to find no real topics to interact with! it seems to that all my discussions (ones i created or responded to) in the last week or so have been untouched ever since.
is it a conspiracy against me!? oh, i digress ;)
i'm not a huge monty python fan, but i definitely could go for a scream fest right about now :)

I think the wackier we get, the more company we get and usually the better the company is as well.
SOmetimes we just take ourselves a bit to seriously.
So if we lighten up and get wacky, the world will be a better place.
