Michael Jackson: Vitiligo sufferer, or self hater?!

It's a question long disputed. Even a friend and I got into it. He's a huge M.J fan...in his eyes, the man can do no wrong! He also thinks that Michael Jackson indeed has vitiligo and believes Michael when he said he only had two nose jobs!!! (ONLY TWO?) I said that while I WON'T go as far as saying I KNOW he doesn't have vitiligo, the change in his physical appearence to become "less black" and even more whiter than white makes me creep closer to disputing his claim! Bone straight lace wig, countless nose jobs to get a straighter nose, and porcelain skin...it all goes hand in hand. What do YOU think? Do you think he simply bleached because he has the condition and thought that was the way to have an even skin tone? I know of vitiligo sufferers who have. Or did he do it (as well as his surgeries) because he simply did not want to look "black" anymore? DISCUSS!

He ay suffer from vitiligo, but he doesn't hate himself. He has enough money that he can do pretty much as he pleases. Whe at you see on his face is not self hatred, but his desire to look like Peter Pan. I don't know why people don't get this. I have come to the conclusion that most people take issue with him because of jealousy over his ability to change what he wants to change, based on his desire, not self hatred, and not to attract underaged romantic interests. People need to grow up and focus on other things.

"But his desire to look like Peter Pan" who is white. Last time I checked, Peter Pan didn't have a cleft in his chin, either. :-\ Honestly, chalking it up to "jealousy" is as juvenile as the guys who tell girls they are jealous of a woman simply because they don't agree with what that woman is doing. An opinion is simply that. An opinion. And not "jealousy" in every case, a word people are so quick to throw out there. And as for "growing up and focusing on other things" I can honestly say, when a person is in the spotlight, in the media, you WILL be the focus of attention, especially when you are surrounded by controversy. And having an opinion as a person of color, ESPECIALLY with the conflicts in our own race with identity etc, it IS a focus.
