In 2004 my dad was in the hospital. My mother & I were taking turns sleeping there with him so he wouldn't be alone. We were both so tired. It was my turn & I had not gotten any sleep for 2 weeks. My fiance' said I should go home & he would bring me back in the morning. I woke up really early that morning. I took about an hour to even attempt getting out of bed. As soon as I got up the phone started to ring & I just started to cry because I knew he was gone. I can't get over this guilty feeling. I wish I was there just the hold his hand. Someone told me that maybe he didn't want us to be there & watch him die. Someone else told me that sometimes people tell you things right before they die & I wonder if he had something to tell me that I missed. Would you feel guilty if you didn't make it back to be at the side of someone you loved? What advise can you give me?

Don't you feel guilty. i know you're sad because you can't see someone that you love again. losing someone that really mean to somebody is a very hard step in life. but believe me your dad don't want you to feel sad. your dad is always be with you. look at yourself now, that is your parent effort's of loving and caring for you all this time. be happy because you're the love of your parent.
