I really am interested in becoming a real estate agent, but many people have told me the business is slow and that real estate agents come a dime a dozen. Is this true? How is the real estate business doing in your neighborhood or city? I'd really like to know if I should try to get into this business.

Becoming a real estate agent isn't hard but your earnings will be based on commission, which in turn relies on how good you are at marketing the estate itself..and yourself, as an agent. In my opinion, earnings from real estate isn't that great. What you need to do is become a go-between or a broker for land deals. First get an "option letter" to sell the land for a certain price from the seller. And then go all out. Jack up the price, whatever. Commission's 5%. 2 from seller 3 from buyer.
