I've found articles that CoQ10 and a few other things can really help weak muscles get stronger. It's not a cure, but the articles say it really helps. Has anyone tried any of these things? Or other things? MDA seems to be focussing on drug treatments and genetic research. I'm wondering if there is help from things that are already available.

I take 100 mg once a day. Before I started, my heart was weak and I often had palpitations. Now my heart is much stronger, and no more palpitations. I don't think my muscles are stronger. In fact, I continue to get weaker. I have Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. I'm happy enough to have a stronger heart so I'll keep taking the CoQ10. Maybe you should, too. Best of luck to you.

Hi thank you for writing this article. I sufferr from this disease but I have not yet tried CoQ10. It is unavailable in India and also I or my family are not financially in a positiopn to import it from some other country. But please do tell me were I can get it from, May be some friends would help a way out. I have tried Accupressure, yoga and pranayama, and it helps quite a bit.
