Just want to know everyones different views about what the world is coming to. The teenagers (some) of these days have no respect for anyone/thing and its getting worse, more crime etc.. Is this the calm before the storm - is a War looming. And global warming is about to change the way we live. Just what to know what people have on their minds. Thanks

I think thebehaviour of teenagers is linked with the cultural changes that we have to witness. Evryhting around us is in a state of flux, and some of the changes may not be acceptable for most of us. We are free to respond to such situations. We can have a heart-to-heart talk with our kids, or other teenagers. We can build a close link with them if we really need it. Most of all there needs be some awarness programmes on parenting, since parents can do a lot about teenage behavious if they can establish a good relationship with their children. I don't think there is any relationship between teenage behavious and war, or global warming for that matter. Perhaps all these are consequences of some actions in the past, but they are separated in thick borders.

Today's teenagers have become too self-centered, and they have developed the devil-may-care attitude towards school, politics, and even family. It is very shocking that almost more than half of the teenagers that you see now are wired to the internet, either playing online or offline games, chat rooms, video games and etc. They spend more hours on the pc than studying in school!
Most teenagers nowadays have a short attention span, and they are lacking of social graces and social skills. You might see that they seem quiet, but once annoyed, you might have the chance to see them detonated easily like land mines. They have no respect for everyone senior, and this is scary to the parents and the parents-to-be.
One really have to sit down and think of the possibilities and repercussions of bringing up a child who in the end turns into a scum of the earth.
For me, I would rather wait and see.
