College course.. your choice or not?

Hi! Sometimes parents choose the college course that (for them) could be good for us because they have the "feel" of what would be in demand and what would make a better income. But of course, this (more often than not) will be met with strong opposition (hehe) especially if we feel that we aren't cut out for the career that they want us to venture in, or we simply couldn't imagine ourselves in that career. To answer your question, if the student knows what he/she wants to take up for college, then I think the parents should support that decision (at least he/she wants to go to college!). On the other hand, if the student is undecided, then he/she and the parents should deliberate on it until the best decision could be reached. Well, just my opinion. Good day!
