zip disks okay to give away?

I'm starting my spring cleaning a bit early and have set aside a zip 250 drive and disks to donate. I've reformatted the disks but you always hear that even reformatting doesn't completely erase the data. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it okay to leave it at reformatting or do I need to do something else to completely erase the zip disks. Thanks

You might try zero formating them using a killdisk utility. But they should be fine.
