Oh Boy! It sure pays to be Obnoxious

The man you love to hate Simon Cowell judge on the "American Idol" gets paid a whopping $71 million a year from Fox for being nasty, he paid British income tax, from all his endeavors including Il Divo singing group etc. etc., in the amount of $43 million. Would you be obnoxious if you could earn that much money although he seems to have an excellent head for business. Maybe Trump is following in his footsteps to see who can get the most publicity from being nasty.

Yes this is a classic money comes to money. Cowell has always been a millionaire, now he is a billionaire. He has done a lot of nasty work to be this rich. I think I would rather be kind, humble and broke as to have be that way all the time. His is not a learned behavior, from I understand he has always been nasty and just decided to make a career out of it.

Yes I think you are right, he does not how to be humble. According to his bio he got kicked of a few schools because of his behavior, he didn't even graduate.

I dont so much think of him as being obnoxious, i see him as being honest which is a rare trait to find these days, if he has something to say he is going to say it, and he will say it without holding back.

I disagree because he is a very clever man and I think he has cultivated his image and he knows how to keep people watching just to see how outrageous he will get, more people the more money he earns

Money to me,really isn't everything. To loose ones respect, morals, or integrety to be obnoxious, is worse. No amount of money would tempt me to be that way.

We have people in MyLot who already do it for pennies!! I guess he is one of the best "judges" out there and,like sports stars or movie starts,is being paid accordingly.

well he is very annoying at that I get mad at him but for that money I guess he cn do what he wants huh? Donald trump was always stuck u dont know how he got any one to marry him!. But to think about it almost all rich people are snubs!

Well I don't think I would be half as good at being a jerk as Simon is, LOL. He is the man we all love to hate. That is amazing how much Fox pays him.

I really don't think that Simon is that rude. I think he is honest, and people don't like it. They are so used to be lied too, when someone tells them the truth they get there feelings hurt. Trump is not nasty either. He is successful because he does not lie to people. If you stink at your job, he will tell you so. I think he is mean for divorcing his first wife, but that is something totally different than being mean, it has to do with someone not being happy with themself.
