Why dont people keep their word???

I have noticed maybe it is as I have gotten older that people dont keep their word anymore. Someone will say they are going to do something but they dont do it and have no remorse for breaking their committments. What is going on these days to make people just break committments and not care that they are doing so??? Are you like that???

It is frustrating when people don't keep their word. Especially if you pride your own self on being a person of your word. Maybe people just aren't taught to do what they say their going to do. Marriages break up, businesses break up, kids aren't truthful with their parents. Lots of deceit in the world in our day and age.

Exactly and its tough because I do pride myself on keeping my word but I guess you cant hold everyone to the same standards.

I always keep my word. Even all my friends do as this is the basis of mine to select a friend. A very strong person with a will power can only keep his or her words, and all are not strong.

Well a person can do it at first but it can fade easily.
