I chew my nails, and I can't believe I still do it. I dont even notice that I am doing it until it is too late. Usually I feel pain. Pretty bad.
Right now I am typing on sore fingers. Tsk Tsk.
I know how dirty the habit is. Yuck, the junk under the fingernails. I am suprised I havent gotten sick from this, but then again, maybe I have.
Over the years, I have managed to stop, but I keep starting it up all over again. It is almost a subconcious habit.
Any tips on how to break this habit? I am tired of sore bitten up fingers. SIGH.

Yes, I do, unfortunately. I had stopped for a few months - what I did mostly was keep my fingernails pretty and painted, so that I wouldn't want to bite them. I'm not sure what happened, but looking at them now, they are far from long and pretty :(. A lot of people report success from wearing gloves when around the house, on the computer, sleeping, and such.

Yes I chew on my nails and I do not realize I am doing it. I have been doing it since I was a kid. I will try so hard and grow out my nails and make a deal with myself that when they get so long I will go and have them done and then when they get long I bite them off.

Nope, I've never done so and I don't think I ever will...
