why is every country in the european union bragging about the euro???..what is wrong with it???? i think its a good thing:))))) its going to help builtstability in the eu arent you guys fed up with the fact that the us is the biggest power in the world and no one can rival it:(((((((((((((

I agree even though I am a Brit and we have not joined the Euro. The good thing is the long term benefit it could bring. Europe has an economy 5 times larger than the US and suffers at the moment because the US operates very protectionist and unfair trade policies that it is able to enforce because it is so much more powerful economically than any single European country like the playground bully but where Europe united economically then the boot would be on the other foot, so to speak.
An economically united Europe would undoubtedly force US to remove its restrictive trade practices and this would be provide a massive economic boost to Europe. Without it, I think Europe will suffer from the rise of the Chinese economy

In many areas the EU is more powerful than the US. Just look at the recent fall of NASA and the huge success of ESA, not to mention the that EU has a bigger inner market than the US. If we are now more pwoerful today then just wait a few year and we will be :-)
