why is it sooo hard to say "i luv u"?

I guess because it is not aneveryday sort of thing you say and usually when you do love someone you feel a little insecure at times and are frightened maybe of being made a fool of or even the other person being scared off...not sure really.

hi there, well ive been with my boyfriend for about 3 and a half years now and i don't say i love you, mostly never to be honest because i don't show them feelings and im sure he knows that by now because if he didn't think i loved him, he would probably leave me, i feel i know him too much to say that, LOL! :O)

this is not spose to be mean so please please dont take it as it is but maybe your bipolar cuase my sister is and she has a hard time saying it too so that is one reason it is harder peace n lov iceman

That's a mystery, I don't have any problem at all saying I love you to family and frieds I've known for some time. When I have a problem is with men in my life. For example recently I met a gentlman online and after emailing back and forth for a week or so we exchanged phone numbers. Then he started with the "I really do love you" but said it like he expected me to say it back. I've never met this man, there is no way I could say those words. Then he started the "oh I shouldn't have said that but I just feel so close to you" It was just toooo much for me. We're not talking now.
