why mistreat

Any person that would mistreat an animal deserves to be punished. I have been disgusted many times by those who do not care for their animals properly. They abusive owners state they fell on hard times or that it wasn't their fault. If so, ask for help. Find a new home for the animal. Do not make the animal suffer because you can no longer care for it.

I actually had to sell my horse because the 'friend' I was boarding her with was starving her. She lost probably 500 lbs in a matter of months. I couldn't afford to board with anyone else, so I had to sell her to someone I knew would take care of her. It was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever had to do.

I agree with you. A horse is a beautiful and magnificent animal. I love to watch them as they run across the field. They have the wind as their companion. A person who abuses a horse or any animal(which they will do, a person who is cruel to a horse will be cruel to any animal) is a person who has no heart. The love a horse or any other animal is more precious than Gold. To be abused at the hands of a human is unthinkable but the world being what it is there are those kind of people around. There are many around who take good care of animals and all we can do is be thankful for those people and pray for the others.
