I don't know about you but here in Michigan, USA the temperature outside has a big effect on our lives. My 15 year old son is at the college 4 blocks from our house, planning on walking home when he's done playing pool with friends and spending time in the computer lab. I'm a bit concerned about him walking home so popped over to Yahoo to check the temperature. It is approx. 8:45 p.m., 3 degrees outside, wind blowing, and snow falling. What is it like in your part of the world and how is it effecting your life?

Ahhh, I am dreaming of spring in Michigan. It gets hot here in the summer but not usually unbarable - spring is my favorite when all the greenery celebrates after being hidden all winter.

actually, summer is myt favorite. I too live in Michigan and after the 10s and 20s, not to mention what we're going through now, 40 and fifty degrees is just not warm enough for me to be my favorite.

New England (Massachusetts) has particularly odd temperature changes, actually. in the winter, we can go from 60 degrees one day, to 5 below 0 another. In the summer, it'll go from 70 one day, to 95 the enxt. It's pretty crazy.

I'm here up north and I really don't want to know. In winter it could get from 0 to minus 30 degree celcius. An old lady almost fainted in front of my shop, if I didn't let her in she would be covered by snow.

That is good you let the lady in. I think the cold winters are the worst for the elderly.

It is 32 degrees in Southern india , maybe little more or less in sothern parts. It varies.but it is really hot outside. And by next month we will have summer (very hot). Doesn't affect us much as we r used to it. But if we are to walk a long distance that too in the peak hours of sun,, sure difficult otherwise it is coool..

Where I'm sitting is lovely and cool with a slight breeze ... but then again I'm under the airconditioner *laughs* Outside is boiling hot with the temperature over 40'c - ugh! Too hot to even wander down to the beach - too hot even to open up any windows due to the hot wind outside. Oh the joys of summer!!

Oh please, let me help save on your cooling bill - woke this morning to -5 degrees and wind chill of -25! That's so cold when outside your nose hairs freeze when you try breathing.

I am also in Michigan and here it is 3 dgrees on Sunday at 6pm. The cold is not affecting me to much. I think it is the start of the new ice age. A few months ago, everyone was saying that it was warmer because of global warming. That is now over and we are headed to record cold over the next decade. Just thought I would cheer you up...lol.

I'm in upstate NY and its brrrr cold- We bundled up to go outside and play today- Lasted all of 2 minutes- It's gotta be about 7 degrees but it's so windy! Its the wind that gets you! It's not snowing right now- but looking outside you couldn't tell-- The wind is blowing snow all around- Its pretty. I just drove my daughter to the neighbors-- A 2 minute walk up the road- because it is too cold to walk. I don't mind winter-- but I'd like to lose the cold!

LOL my daughter was going to the store and called me from her cell phone just to chat - the wind was so bad I was hearing maybe every other word as she went in the store.

It's 58 degrees here in Nevada at 6:00 in the evening. Not too bad except we are used to temps over 100 degrees and our homes are built for that. So my feet are freezing on the stone tile floors. Only snowed once here this year, actually in about the last four years. Really only affect on my life is having to bundle the kids up before they go outside, and of course the ridiculously high gas bills.

LOL 48 degrees and I'm jealous. I do remember those days though, 10 years in Texas it was the same way. Right now I'm wondering why on earth I came back to Michigan.

Keyser, WV is windy as anything and cold as all get out. It's been cold for a while and it's really starting to get to us all. It's snowed but not enough to get out of classes here at the college.

I have a feeling we're going to have a two hour delay for schools on Monday, they do that a lot when it's this cold because of kids standing outside waiting for buses. My son will like that - I'll wake up early and see delay so he can sleep later, he's not a morning person.

Ooh you are from Michigan! My mum's old boss lives in Port Huron. Blueberry Hills or something like that... And I used to have a friend who worked at the Belle Isle Aquarium in Michigan... Hehe. Anyways, that's completely off the subject matter! haha. I tend to do that a lot (get side-tracked to a different subject matter entirely.. .and oops! I am doing it again!). It's cold here, but no snow. In fact.. my thermometer for inside and outside says.... Outside is 2 degrees (celsius) Inside is 19.9 degrees (celsius). Humidity is 39% It was a gift for xmas. I love it! haha. It's like a clock that collects it's time from satelite, and I have a thermostat outside and in, and it sends the signal to my indoor clock! haha. Soooo cool.

Port Huron is nice, I've been there several times. An elderly lady I help has one of those clocks and I love it, on my list of things I want :) I tend to depend on weather station or radio for my information although from time to time I jump over to yahoo and get weather there.

I would love to be in Michigan right now. That's where I lived before I moved to Colorado this summer. And let me tell you, Colorado's winter has been HORRIBLE. We have had two blizzards so far that made normal life impossible. Those of us who were lucky got stuck in our houses for three days (or at my boyfriend's house with his family for three days, in my case). The not-so-lucky got stuck at their places of employment for three days. It was literally impossible to go out of doors. The whole city was shut down, and the governor declared our areas to be in a state of emergency. Compared to that, Michigan sounds like heaven...

I live in Israel. It's +16 C at day, +20 or even more I suppose in the sun. Now when it's alreay night, it's +12 C. I wish I could run in the snow now and play snow-balls!!! I haven't seen the snow for 3 years already. Bare in mind that I was born and lived for 23 years in Siberia!

Here around Houston it has been in the 30's and 40's and rainy a lot lately for the last few weeks. We have been very cold here in the house. I am happy to say that Yahoo says that it is 66 right now. I just do not know how you are abole to live where it is so cold and have so much snow.

since my hometown is more close to Himalayas , temperature during winters reduces to 2-3, two to three days before, we were facing a lot of rainfall and it was quite cold here, anyway spring is approaching now ,so a daily raise in temperature will be obvious, i think it will be pleasant 18-22 C in about a week or two

Brussels, Belgium. Capital of Europe. Four degrees Celsius outside. It hasn't snowed the whole winter up until yesterday and the day before yesterday. It was quite odd, it wasn't any cooler then normally yet snow just happened to pop out of nowhere. Well, from the sky, I should say. Global warming is definitely effecting the climate in Belgium. I remember ten years ago it would snow most of the winter..
