why do people smoke?

i think people do smoking without any reason or what is the reason of doing smoking?

Actully there smoking starts from youthage, they start just for style in youth and they get habbit of smoking.so be control of smoking in youth only.

that is what i would also like to know. they know that they'll die sooner,they're wasting their money, and have health more problems! but i still don't know why they choose to smoke. could any smoker answer that question and do not say,"it's too hard to stop"...
