Some topics are hot, some are not. It can sometimes be hard to determine what will be a hit and what will be a dud. From what you have seen what topics seem to get the most responses. What topics do you prefer to respond to. Personally I like topics on sports, money and just random stuff. Share your thoughts on this here.

I prefer the topics that I find I have some common ground in, something that I can relate to. I find it easier to answer these discussions. The ones that are about religious beliefs I find are the ones that get the most responses though and they are so controversial I make it a point to not start discussions like that. Although I will admit if I see one, I usually go type up my opinion, lol. But you're right, it is hard to know what will be a big hit and what won't.

I agree 100% with religious topics seeming to be a hit. It is just such a controversial topic its hard not to voice your opinion. I think the reason for this is the fact that if you get 20 responses to a religious questions, you will get 20 unique views. No one seems to be the exact same when it comes to religion. This rule also seems to apply to political and national discussions. Everyone loves/hates their government aswell as their country.

I'm not surprised that this is the first answer, but these are the debates I feel the least comfortable posting in. I just feel like sometimes these things boil down to everyone pressing their own beliefs on others and there is not an internet post that will ever exist that will get me to change my feelings on the subject. ;) People do get very passionate when discussing their religion, and while I admire that, I don't usually agree and that makes some people upset.

I have to agree with your last statement. I have been known to post my non-religious beliefs a bit too strongly at times.

At first I notice topics that center on family problems and family needs get more responses. Problems between husbands and wives, cheating, homosexuality, child rearing but lately it just can be anything from cats and dogs to religions. Any topic that will make my brain cells working is fine. I have a wide interest except topics asking for my favorite color or do I musterbate, what position is the best. LOL

I have seen this trend aswell. I think some people are asking too personal of questions for a public place however. I have noticed in family and relationship questions that some people don't really think out their responses and just respond to raise their post count. I know a "reader beware" mentality must be used while on here but I'm sure atleast once someone has listened to an unthought out response and has acted on it. It is sad thinking this could have happened just because someone literally just wanted to earn a few pennies.

I like to respond the discussion I feel easy to answer or something I know more.
