Ok...answer this one...your driving up a mountain...curves and bumps everywhere...you swerve left..your swerve right...and then you LOSE CONTROL...you crash off the mountain wall...off another car...do a 360...the doors fly open and you hit the guard rail popping the car up and over...u come to a stop...with the car hanging over the edge...the front door open...the back door open...your spouse is hanging out the door by her/his finger tips...only able to hold on for a few more seconds...you look in the back...and your child has fallen out the door and hangin for dear life to the seatbelt...only able to hold on for a few more seconds.........Your spouse...and your child...ready to fall to thier demise and you only have enough time to save one....WHICH ONE DO U SAVE?...you can only pick one.

That's a horrible scenario!!! OK....fine! I pick my child. Sorry, but if it circumstances were reversed, I would want my partner to do the same with me. I would want him to pick saving our child, over saving me. If my partner saved me and not our child, I would not be able to live with myself. And even though it would be hard to live with myself letting him die instead of my child...if I lost my child, I would not survive myself. So....I pick my child! Maybe if he is mad enough because I chose my child, he will get a better grip long enough for me to help him also.

Great scenario! I bet if he was mad that you helped the child first he would hold on longer so you could help him. That would sure be scary though!! :)

I think that's the response any parent would want for their child. God willing we will never have to make that choice.

I would save my child because that's what my husband would want me to do. My husband has already proven this point about the children being more important than anything else in the world. It would be my child for a fact.

Well I certainly hopes answering this does not jinx any of us! I dont usually drive when we're all together-- but I would most certainly save my Child! I am her parent and am here to protect her- She is weaker than my sig. other-- It would be very hard to do but I know I would save her first. Honestly don't think I could pull my dig. other to safety anyways--

oh my what a situation, i wish it will not happen to me, but to answer your discussion, it would be the kids, coz if i where in my husbands position i will also ask him to rescue our own babies and forget about me it's mother's instinct you see even animals do that feed their babies first rescue them at all cause no matter what

I would definetly save my child first. He/She has a whole future ahead of them and hasnt even lived life properly yet. I would want my spouse to do the save as well

I would save and child first and would try my best to save my spouse too. I know my spouse would want me to save and take care of our child and if I am the one hanging, I would also want him to save our child first.

O.k. Here's what I do, I take one look at the bumpy curvy road, re-check my map, and detour around the bottom of the mountain on the road I find on the map, thus avoiding the whole unpleasant situation! LOL

Well, I'm not physically strong enough to hold DH... I think I'd have to go with my son. I love DH more than anything, but it's our job as parents to take care of and protect DS. I think he'd do the same.

I would save my child, and I would expect my spouse to choose the same way. I know my ex-wife would :)

Wow, i thought this going to be some cliche' question. Your Detailing dude made it sound like a suspense movie or a cool screenplay. Hmmmm... I think i will save my wife. I can make another one incase something happens to the kid.:P Nahh..so hard. Guess, It would depend on how i feel when it happens. You will never know. Sometimes 10 years ,2 kids and a miserable life later after marriage ,wives turn into some kind of monster. Husbands push em in cliffs and such situation will be a good opportunity for them to kill them wives without going to jail. hahahaha.

Whichever one was closer, really... As much as I'd love to say my daughter, my guess is that my spouse would be closer to me and if I tried to save my daughter in the back seat, the car would probably shift and she'd fall and he'd fall, so I'd be out two loved ones. If there was a 50/50 chance either way, I'd probably go for my daughter.

tough question and its difficult to answer that though. Well, i'll try to get my kid (hoping that my wife could hold on longer than my child). Because if you feel confused about the matter, you can't start a job. So without intention as to whom you prefer, as they're both important in your family, either of the two could be the first to get on as you can't be able to make them both at the same time.

What a scenario!!! Well, i will going to save my child if that incident would happen. My spouse is old enough and he already experience a lot of things while my child has not been discover really the real world. my spouse is strong enough also to save his self and my child is more weaker than him.
