I am considering getting a hamster...

I really want a hamster because they seem very fun and are just a great pet to have. I just wanted to know like what hamster I should get first? Like which hamster should I get such as a dwarf hamster or other hamsters? Please tell me so I will know. Also any good suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think you should have winter white pearl or winter white sapphire dwarf hamster for a start, they are very tame and cute, plus they dont bite.
campbell likes to bite sometimes, and roborovski hamster is hard to play with because they're a fast runner and hard to catch.

Thank you. I will put that into consideration. Those are some very good suggestions. I hope that I can get a winter white pearl beacause they look cute. Again, Thank you. I am new to hamsters and have no clue about the best types to start on.

Yeah I read somewhere that hamsters are supposed to be a little round but not too fat. I will try to feed it just the right amount

I have always had teddy bear hamsters because they are so cute, and they seem so much calmer (at least the ones I've had seemed that way.) Your best bet is to talk to people at a pet store, or find a veterinarian that deals with them. I hope I helped a little bit. Good luck.

Thank you, I will put that into consideration. I don't know many kinds of hamsters so I guess I should research that and find out. I'm leaning towards a dwarf hamster because I saw those at the local pet store.

by now i'm pretty sure you have a couple of hamsters already. try t take care of teddy bear hamsters. they are the most ideal hamster especially for starters. try to breed some then you can get other breeds of hamsters.
