I had asked this earlier also, when I didnt have many friends. But, now, since you all are there, please help me out this time. What would be an ideal gift for Valentine's Day? Esp. when your partner is away from you in some other country? What would be the gift that will make your day and make you realize how much the person does love you? Have you got any such gift earlier, which turned the direction of your life? If yes, then what was that gift?

how about if you could arrange small gifts at different times of the day to show that u r thinking of her the whole day. dont forget a card, flowers and chocolates. it may sound cliche but it wouldnt be valentines day without it.
the best gift for her would be if u showed up that day

Well, I guess that depends a lot on where your lady is living, and what her personal tastes are. To me, as a woman, I know it sounds cliched, but I adore flowers. Iif you organise a bouquet to be deleivered to her through "Interflora" or the equivalent, it would be a lovely surprise for her. Choose flowers that you know she likes, in her favourite colours, and I guarantee she will love it. If not, just phone her up on the day and tell her that you love her:-)) Perhaps, if you know she listens to a particular radio show, or reads a certain newspaper, organise a message to be sent to her, with her favourite song played for her on her local radio. Good Luck anyway. And by the way, just noticed that you live in Basel. One of my favourite cities in the world!

Start sending cards now, so she keeps getting them. If you are the one out of the country, see if you can arrange someone to surprise her somehow where she is. I came out of work onetime to find my car full of balloons.
Send flowers, and chocolate, call her at breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime.
Send a bunch of ecards. So they arrive all day long as well.
Inundate her with thought of you and her.
And tell her that you have other plans to surprise her wehn you are back together. Maybe make plans at a favorite spot.
See if they will go along with a late valentines day thing. Have red and white flowers on the table etc. Get some v-day balloons there as well.

I Love You! That's the best gift we can give to our love-ones on Valentines Day. These 3 magic words if spoken personally, and heartily is the most non-expensive gift we can offer on this very special day for lovers. It's the sweetest word, more than the most expensive chocolate in the world. It's the most fragrance word, more that any most expensive roses in the world. How much more if you can say it with a hug, not on the net, not on phone but direct to his/her ears. Yes! Let's do it now! Happy Valentines Day Lovers!!!
