I HAVE POSTED A DISCUSSION ON THE NEW MYLOT LAYOUT AND FACILITIES AND GOT A VERY RELEVANT RESPONSE AS ATTACHED BELOW:
"The new developments in my opinion are very good for the most part. I love the star ratings, i think these add to motivation. I also think its great that we now can see where everyone is coming from, by looking at the breakdown of the mylot population by nationality.
However, I dont like the new lay out i am partially sighted and find it hard to navigate round, I cant always find or see the icons, no one bothered to ask me or indeed tell me why it had to change in the first place, i feel it is a step backwards, i thought we were trying to be more inclusive, not less" . EVEN AS I AM HAPPY WITH THE NEW LOOK AND OPTIONS AT MYLOT, I GUESS WE NEED TO TAKE THIS ISSUE SERIOUSLY, SO THAT MYLOT COMMUNITY REMAINS FREINDLY TO ALL SORTS OF PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT ABILITIES. FRIENDS, PLEASE TAKE PART IN THIS PLEA TO MYLOT SO THAT WE CAN MAKE IT INCLUSIVE AS OUR VALUABLE FRIEND WOULD LIKE IT. I AM SORRY TO USE THE UPPER CASE HERE, I DID IT SOLELY TO DIFFERENTIATE MY POSTING FROM WHAT I HAVE ATTACHED HERE.

I agree with you, the new layout is just make everything difficulty to do, I hate one thing most: my earnig rate has been removed from the place it used to be, now its not convenient to check my rate, and I think the rate there would make me feel a great sense of achievement.
Have a good day.

glad you made this issue known to all mylot users. i for one dont like the new mylot look. it is not user friendly at all. small icons, no ratings behind our names, everything is so different and a pain to the eye. I find it difficult to browse through mylot even if am perfectly okay with my sight, how much more for those who have eye problems. mylot should address this problem the soonest.

I am not having to much trouble with the writing, however, the change in the navigation links to the earnings page and referrals etc.. are posing som problems, not seeing my post count also is a little disturbing. I personally liked the layout previous to this one. I know mylot is trying to make itself better, but changing the layout 30 different times isn't helping, matter of fact it to me is making it worse, especially for the older members that have gotten used to a certain layout. When new members come here and ask how to get around we are not even able to help as it changes so much. I would like them to get to a layout that is good for all and stay there. I also think they shouuld out how many members are online at any given time just below the total member count, this would also help in that we would know why the site is sluggish at times, by viewing the total members online and if it is high then that would answer the slow site question. The icons to the left of the screen showing interest categories to me do not need to be there, with that gone they would have more room to increase the font size of the items and links listed there.

thank you all for the positve words of support here, just struck me that if we are aiming for inclusivity, then why change something that can potentially exclude?

You're right. this is a so much tinier than the it was before. My eyes are hurting because my job requires computer use for eight hours. And now mylot has gotten smaller. I have to move forward to the screen to make out out all the letters

Well, thanks for posting this. I must admit, I had never given the subject any great thought before, but it is true that the writing, and some of the icons are smaller than before. I am not partially sighted, but I am fairly sort-sighted, and I have to wear glasses for reading and PC work, and I can see this would be a problem for some. I wish you luck in your quest. Thanks for posting.
