I went to both, and found that atlantic city was better for me..yes, las vegas has pretty lights, alot of casinos, shows, etc. but I felt it was too crowded. On the other hand, atlantic city was opposite of this. If you had a choice, which one would you go to? If you already went, which one do you like better and why?

I actually like Atlantic City better too, its only a 5 hour drive which makes it easy for a long weekend getaway, compared to a 5 hour flight. I love the history, the smell of the sea, the shopping, walking the boardwalk and all the shows.. Its smaller than Vegas, a little more personable and definetely less crowded. I also tend to win more in Atlantic City and I'm always getting coupons in the mail for free nights and free shows, etc and that makes me want to go there over Vegas.

i mean it would really depend. i would rather take a vacation to las vegas which is like 7 hrs away in flight from where i live compared to 8 hours drive to altlantic city. las vegas has all the great shows and attractions apart from strip which makes it great and also another 5 hr drive and u reach LA which is great too.

I have never been to Vegas. And I know people who have and they say Atlantic City, NJ is nothinbg compared to Las Vegas. But I actually like Atlantic city. They have lots of history and tourist attractions. I am sure it is less crowded and less expensive. But it's actually pretty nice.
Since I like beaches, I would choose Atlantic city over Las Vegas.
I am still wondering why they moved the traditional Miss America pageant from the beaach to the desert. It was a legacy in AC. Now they moved it to Las Vegas. I wonder why.

Since I'm from NJ this may not be the best advice, but I think Las Vegas is definately better, its only a 4 hour drive into Los Angeles, and its much more going on in Vegas. Sure AC has there shows, and clubs but to compare it to vegas thats a no no. Thats like trying to compare the casinos in the Gulf of Missisippi to AC its just no comparison.

I've never been to any of the two, but I would much rather go to Las Vegas than Atlantic city. Of course I can't say which one is better before I try them both.
