Does anyone know of a reputable place to sell photos online? Maybe something like ebay. What about a site that buys photos?

I've made over $100 selling my photos at Big Stock Photo. See more information here: http://www.bigstockphoto.com/?refid=gyD1FGl9wP
They're pretty good. I like that they give feedback on how to improve if your photos aren't accepted, you can keep submitting photos all the time, and you get commissions when photos sell. So on months that I'm too busy to add more photos, I'm still making money off the ones that are up there.

How strict are they? Can I sell stuff on their site and on my own? Do they charge any fees for joining? I thought about selling my photos on istockphoto, but they wouldn't allow me to sell my stuff anywhere else.

You still own the photos, so you can sell them elsewhere as well. No fees for joining. I didn't think they were very strict, but some people tell me they can't seem to get their photos approved. It doesn't hurt to try though. They'll tell you what to change if you don't get a photo approved. I have about a 98% percent approval rating on the photo batches I upload. I looked into istockphoto too, I didn't like that they make you do this long process to sign up that even included scanning in your driver's license. BigStockPhoto seems way easier.

Pigglies, do you know how long it usually takes to get photos approved at big stock? I joined last week and uploaded photos and they haven't been approved or rejected yet. Is this a usual length of time or am I supposed to do something else? Thanks for any insight you can give me.

Try doing a search here on Mylot. I've seen several discussions about places where amateur photographers can get paid for posting their photos that other people want to use on their Web sites, etc. If a person is taking pictures already, and takes a lot, this can be a good way to earn a bit of money without much extra work.
