Hi, thanks for starting this discussion as it is the need of the hour to introspect the need of 20-20. In my opinion, it is converting cricket into baseball and nothing else. It has erased the grace of cricket. In this form, the bowler only bowls a restrictive line and the batsman swings at everything blindly. Cricket is an artistic game where one must be able to appreciate the bowler's ability to bowl probing and wicket taking balls and the batsman's elegance. With 20-20 format, shall we be able to watch the ball of the century by shane warne or the wristy elegance of tendulkar? Definitely not. Scrap it totally, for the sake of the game.

I feel these days people lead hectic lives and want fast action packed live entertainment which 20-20 cricket provides as it is over in 3 hours i think. Though i must admit i am not big fan of 20-20 cricket as i have not seen much of it as it is popular in India. but seeeing it's popularity in England and other countries, maybe it will catch here too. But i feel test cricket is the real thing even players & experts agree to that. But to meet demands of commercialisation, and to make sport popular where it is waning in popularity or to introduce in other parts of world it is fine.

when test matches were the one's first played in cricket.... one day matches were introduced... and now 20-20 matches are played... i think this is a part of the evolution of cricket.... nothing wrong in playing 20-20 matches....

NO I DONT THINK LIKE THAT BECAUSE IT MAKES THE AUDIENCE TO SEE INTERESTLY AND GAIN THE BCCI AND IT MAKES THE GAME
SPIRIT AND IT TELLS ABOUT THE FORM OF THE BATMAN REGULARLY
I THINK THAT IT IS NOT SPOILING THE GAME 20-20 IS THE BEST WAY OF TELLING ABOUT THE FORM OF THE BATSMAN

yes the 20-20 format of the game is spoiling the game and its quality.. though it may be exciting than the other two versions of the game it is not suitable for quality players and it is a batsmen's game..only hitters could get into the team.. and no role is given to the pace and strike bowlers..

I don't think so at all infact 20-20 game is the most interesting of them all as it always keeps the scorer on its edge...It is fast aswell as lively, after all what we all spectator wants boundaries-boundaries and more boundaries than what a better why than 20-20 game...I'm waiting for it to get popular in my country...
