20.00 sure. 50.00 okay. Anything more than that is asking too much. Low ammounts can be paid back without any problems. Larger ammounts are harder to pay back and often the friend cares about you and will let you slide and slide and slide until they begin to feel used. Best not to get yourself into that kind of a situation. Friends are for emotional support, banks are for lending.

I don't think its a good idea to borrow money from friends. It can cause all kinds of problems. I borrowed money to friends and it always turned out bad. If you have to borrow money I usually borrow from my family. They are definitely more understanding about things.

I would never borrow or loan money between my friends and myself. No way! I'd just be asking for trouble. Different people have different views of money, and I think money is better kept private.

I have no problem in lending my friends money....as long as they are close friends and have proven themselves in the past...But I have never ever had the spine to borrow anything from a friend! Especially not money!

Its a hard question. If you trust them, and know they will pay you back, then yes. But if you feel you are being taken advantage of, then no I wouldnt. But if a friend was truly in need and needed some money for food, medicine etc..I would probably help them!

Probably not, unless you plan on paying them back, of course.

No. Its not a good idea because it could possibly ruin the friendship..
I have a friend that borrowed money from me, alot of money. and she promised she would pay it back.. I fell on real hard times, I have 3 kids and I was broke and just going through a bunch of stuff and having that money back would have answered all my troubles. but she always would tell me her check never came.. now she dont even come around me anymore.. I have never seen a dime..
I will not be loaning anyone any money anymore..
I also dont think loaning money to family is a good idea..
I loaned my neice money and she was supposed to give it right back to me the next day, its been like 3 years and I havent seen anything.. when I did ask her if she had any of the money she got really snotty with me and yelled at me and said she didnt have it..
my experience with family is that they can be just as dirty as a friend, and each can be as dirty and cruel as an enemy..
the only one I do trust on this earth is my mother..

I don't think it's a good idea to borrow money from friends. Even if I'm in desperate need, I would try to ask my family first before asking money from my friends.
Money is one of the things that can ruin a friendship and I don't want that to happen with our friendship. And besides, I'm also not good when it comes to borrowing money from friends. I'm really not used to that kind of situataion that's why I find it really really difficult asking / borrowing money form my friends.

Only if you know you can return it or pay it monthly. It's easier than borrowing from bank and most people won't charge interest since they are your friends, but you still have the obligation to pay it back monthly. If you keep that, your friend will be willing to lend you more or maybe even recommend you to another friend who has more money. This is what Banks or lending institutions won't do for you.

No not at all. Money holds a special power in our society and once you enter money into a frienchsip is screws up your friendship. Borrow from a bank not a friend

Only if you really intend to pay it back. I have had some so-called friends who have borrowed money from me, never intending to pay it back. I lost my money and my friend, though I guess I didn't really want a friend like that.
Now I have some very good friends and we all have pretty steady jobs, and borrowing money is only an issue until payday.

Well I dnt like to borrow from my friends money. Unless the situation is a must and if i dnt have an option. Well Why im asking my friend is because i dnt have anyone else too. N Why i dnt ask is because than we get used to ask him always when we have finacial problems. N it will become a burden in our friedship
