phone? My husband and daughter do that all of the time, asking questions and trying to have a conversation when I am already on the phone. It is so irritating, why do they keep on even when they see that I am on the phone? It isn't even urgent, it's a question like "where is my hat?" I didn't even wear his dumb hat, so how do I know where it is? Why doesn he have to ask me while I am on the phone? I don't even use the phone that much.

Oh,didn't you know that mom on the phone will attract children like magnets?
My kids can be sitting quiet.I could try talking to them, but they are either caught up in what they are doing or just in a quiet mood. But, the minute I pick up the phone, suddenly they are the chattiest little people you would ever meet. My grandkids are worse with this.Yes,I have tested this theory.LOL!

Sometimes I think they believe the people on the phone can see them and are showing off for them. My daughter and niece would really start acting silly when I was on the phone with their Nana. It was like they thought she could see them and would say "oh how cute is that?" I would have to actually go in the bathroom to get in place quiet enough to have a conversation.

im in the same boat but its mainly the kids. they come up and ask questions knowing that i am busy. i think the kids part of it is (at least with mine) if kids know you are busy they hope to ask a question you would normally say no to and they may get the ok just so they would leave you alone. i used to do that to my mom all the time. i guess what goes around comes around and now its my turn lol

This is too funny. Mine will say, "who's that" when I answer the phone and even if the call is for me, continue with "who's that", "who's that". I prefer to finish the call THEN tell him, but then he gets mad and says, "why couldn't you just tell me".... MEN (eyeroll) ;)

I am hoping you are not a therapist, because you are way off. Translation: I am annoyed with my family when they are pestering me. I do not have marital problems, and I love being with my daughter. I tell them they are being pests, but it is not causing problems, just an annoyance.
